2021 is almost here! This makes it the perfect time of year to give your skin a reboot and set up good habits for the new year. It takes around a month to form a habit so by starting now you could have a killer skincare routine in place by the end of January.

Keep reading for our tips to start 2021 with great skin

1. Hydrate

We've said it before and we'll say it again, drink water!

Hydration is extremely important for your organs including the body's largest organ. Your skin!

By drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day you will keep your skin happy and healthy. If you exercise you may need to drink more to maintain good hydration levels. Water also helps to flush toxins from the Healthy skin starts with a hydrated body.

Small things like always having a bottle of water on your or sitting a glass next to your bedside table are ways to get into a good hydrating habit.

2. Wash your face, always.

Another one that makes us sound like a broken record. Washing your face is the key to establishing and maintaining good skin!

If you don't wash your face at the end of the day it is almost impossible for your skincare to penetrate further than the skins surface, whereas if your skin is clean and clear of grime, dirt and makeup it is ready to absorb moisturisers, oils, serums and more.

3. Serum Up

Serums are a new trend taking the skincare industry by storm and with good reason! If nothing else at all your skincare New Years resolution should be to incorporate a serum (or more) into your daily routine.

Serums are low viscosity free-flowing liquids which means they spread easily across the entire skin surface penetrating into the minute folds, pores and skin imperfections, to deliver highly concentrated active ingredients on to and into the stratum corneum (outer layer of the skin). The benefit of this is that the active ingredients can get to work quicker than they would in a heavy cream or lotion that would otherwise remain on top of the skin surface and not absorb deeper

4. Beauty Sleep

Oh sweet sleep! Something we are all lacking after the festive season. Now is the time to get your schedule on track and make sure you are sleeping enough.

Getting your beauty sleep is much more important for skin health than you would think! while you sleep your body is busy at work repairing cells including your skin, the more you sleep the longer your body has to repair.

So by getting a full eight hours sleep at night means your skin is as healthy as possible.
