1. How should I layer my skincare?
The best approach is to layer from thinnest to heaviest products after cleansing. This typically starts with a toner (or essence) and serums, followed my moisturisers and oils. Always finish your morning routine with an SPF and be sure not to mix too many serums to avoid potential skin irritation due to the various pH levels (for example, Vitamin C is best used in the morning, and Retinol at night).
2. When will I start to see results?
This depends on the product, but just like a new fitness regime, consistency is always key. For hydration, you'll notice a difference in skin's moisture within minutes using Dragon's Blood. For brightening and discolouration, you'll find a visibly smoother and more luminous complexion from using after 2 weeks using Vitamin C products. For facial sculpting and tightening, you'll notice a change after 1-4 weeks using Advance Superlift. For strengthening and repairing serum treatments, which require skin renewal and turnover, these can take up to 4 weeks for visible results.
3. Do I need a morning and night routine?
Yes, we recommend a unique skincare routine for both morning and night. Just like your routine throughout the day, your skin has different needs too. In the morning you want to prep and protect. Think layering Vitamin-C for brightening and defence from free-radicals, finished with a light moisturiser and an SPF to protect from the harsh, Australian sun. At night, it's all about repair, renewal and preparing skin for the next day. This is when you swap the Vitamin-C for regenerating serums like AHAs and Retinols, which are sensitive to sunlight. Your night routine should also include a heavier moisturiser, like the Dragon's Blood Ultra Plumping Night Cream, to smoothe, repair and replenish waterloss while you sleep.
4. How many products do I need my routine?
This depends on what you're trying to achieve. A basic routine requires only a cleanser, moisturiser and SPF. However this only addresses the bare minimum of skincare. To address keyareas of concern such as crepey skin, fine lines and wrinkles, discolouration, dehydration, hyperpigmentation or redness, we recommend gradually introducing high performance BOOST products — targeted serums, eye treatments and masks — to achieve your desired result. Products must have been purchased directly from Skin Physics. We cannot accept returns of products purchased from other retail outlets. Please return those to the store where purchased.
A store credit or exchange will be granted where:
- The product is sealed and packaging is in an unused, undamaged, saleable condition and it is within 30 days of purchase date*.
- Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
A refund or replacement will only be granted where:
- The product is faulty or is not in acceptable quality
- The product does not meet the description provided
